Our Process

Because I treat every project as a blank canvas, I consider clients an extension of that canvas. Even if there are set pieces that need to be a part of the final room or personal taste that should be reflected, to me there is a discovery process that can be breathtaking for myself and my clients. It is an informal sit down around a table or a room and it is the foundation of Flynn Interior Design’s ability to exceed a client’s wildest expectations.

Heritage.

It all begins with a discuss of the client’s history. The who, what, why, how and where of the client, the family, the business. I ask the sort of questions that are thought provoking and bring out the deeper thoughts and opinions about how an environment reflects the true essence of the client.

Future.

Where the client is heading… what’s around the corner is a great driver of the end look and feel of a room, a home, a business. This speculation… based on goals, dreams and expectations is discussed is detail and impacts every part of the final design.

Materials, Taste, Style

This is all about personal preferences… culled out by reviewing what already exists in the environment (and what still works for the client) and using tons of examples and samples to eventually come to a final palette of colors, textures, fabrics, furniture and objects that mesh seamlessly with each other… as well as the surviving elements of the previous environment.
